Information we process

We process the information needed to run the service:

• an anonymous account identifier and authentication session data;
• chess data you submit or import, including PGN, game URLs, public Chess.com or Lichess usernames, game metadata, moves, positions, ratings shown in a game, and analysis results;
• messages you send during a coach review and lesson feedback you submit;
• basic technical and security information, such as request identifiers, error logs, browser-stored session data, and IP/network information processed by our hosting providers.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a game import, coach message, or feedback comment.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate your session, import and analyze games, provide and resume reviews, improve and debug the beta, protect the service from misuse, and respond to support or deletion requests. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers and AI

We use third-party providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, and the chess engine. These may include Supabase for anonymous authentication and product data storage. When AI coach features are enabled, relevant game context and coach messages may be sent to an AI model provider, including Google or OpenAI, to generate a coach response. We may change providers as the beta develops and will update this notice if that materially changes how we use your information.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Your imported games, analysis results, review history, and feedback may be stored so you can continue a review and so we can operate, debug, and improve the beta. We retain this information for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, unless deletion is requested or a longer period is required for a security, legal, or operational reason.

You can request deletion of your beta data by emailing privacy@solpento.com. We may ask for information needed to identify the relevant beta data and will respond within a reasonable time. If you use an anonymous beta session, clearing site data in your browser or switching browsers can make the session and its saved history inaccessible. It does not automatically delete data held in our systems; email us to request deletion.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request or ask a privacy question, contact privacy@solpento.com.

Children

Solpento is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the beta if you are under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can delete it.
